The Brand New Heavies
2-in-1 Paper Jacket Box Import Edition

①
Allabouthefunk

The Brand New Heavies, pioneers of British acid jazz/jazz funk, present their new album. Nicole Russo, who accompanied them on their previous Japan tour and is a proven talent (she has released an album as a solo artist on Victor Entertainment), takes on vocal duties.

②
Get Used To It

While Nicole Russo, who has also released a solo album, served as lead vocalist, original singer N'Dea Davenport has now returned to the group due to popular demand from fans, and this collaboration has been a great success! Featuring the solid musicianship that creates the superb funk tune We've Got, the dramatic soul track I Don't Know Why (I Love You), Right On which shows influences of the Stax sound, and the NY disco-esque Let's Get It Again – it's truly soulful! This is a fulfilling work worthy of a worldwide release, brimming with love for old funk/soul.

Nicole Russo
Through My Eyes

She is a multi-talented artist, not only possessing exceptional singing ability but also skills in drumming, saxophone, piano, recording, and editing. In fact, she is the daughter of Jerry Steevens, a comedian active in the 60s. As such, she has been passionate about dance since childhood, especially salsa, and is now skilled enough to become an instructor.
EG White, the producer of Jade Anderson's (daughter of Jon Anderson of Yes) debut album, fully supports her debut work. The album features a soulful sound with elements of techno incorporated.
