Description
A 300mm telephoto lens for smartphones from Chinese lens manufacturer Kase.
Super Telephoto Lens
All sample images were taken with this lens.
The 5th photo is an example of use; the smartphone clamp and wood-grain smartphone case are not included.
The actual magnification is slightly over 9x.
It does not have the power to zoom in on distant scenery, so it is suitable for situations where you want to get a little closer to a subject that is a bit far away, or for portrait-style photography that utilizes the shallow depth of field to create bokeh. With skillful use, you can even create bokeh balls.
With a distortion rate of less than 3%, it has almost no linear distortion, which is common in bazooka telephoto lenses for smartphones. As you can see from the Honda dealership sign, there is almost no distortion at the edges.
It's a bit difficult to photograph the moon with a lens of this magnification, but I gave it my best shot. I attached it to the 1x standard lens and used digital zoom in combination.
When attached to my iPhone XS, I noticed slight vignetting at the corners of the image, as indicated by the red arrow on the photo of the red and white transmission tower, when shooting in a 3:4 aspect ratio. Depending on the position of the focus ring, it may or may not appear, but if it does, a slight digital zoom will eliminate the vignetting. Vignetting does not occur in square format because the 3:4 aspect ratio is cropped.
The main body is made of aluminum alloy and has a 17mm screw on the back.
The lens itself has no dust or scratches that would appear in photos. I only carried the lens with me occasionally, and the accessories are unused.
The shutter remote has been tested and is working. A new battery has been installed.
