1920s MR. JOHN BLACK HAT, WIDE STRAW w COLLAPSIBLE CROWN, HARRE TATOU LABEL

Harre Tatou and Mr. John Boutique, New York, Paris are the original labels inside this 1920s wide-brimmed hat.  It's the style that was popular (along with the cloche) in the Roaring Twenties for Flappers and the general populace of fashionable women.  It has a high crown, meant to be pulled down on the head.  It shades the face beautifully. It has a grosgrain ribbon and bow as a hatband.  You can push down the fabric crown into a suitcase to take traveling.  Mr. John began designing hats in 1920 and continued with his amazing creations to the 1970s.  This one is a very early treasure!  SIZE:  21 Head. Small.
