Vintage Hand-Built Southwestern Studio Pottery Canteen Pueblo Style Leather Strap c. 1970s1980s Beautiful vintage hand-built Southwestern pottery canteen featuring striking black, white, and terracotta geometric decoration with its original aged leather carrying strap. This decorative vessel is unsigned and appears to be handmade using traditional coiling techniques with a matte white slip over a buff clay body. The bold geometric medallion and abstract reverse motif are reminiscent of Pueblo pottery traditions from Arizona and New Mexico. While I cannot attribute it to a specific Native American artist, it is a quality vintage Southwestern art pottery piece with excellent display appeal.
