Smoke Fired Stoneware Dracena Vase Michael Christine Adcock Studio Pottery

This stunning mixed-media vessel is a collaborative piece by celebrated artists Michael and Christine Adcock, known for seamlessly integrating fine ceramics with natural fiber weaving. Titled the Dracena Vase, the body of the piece was hand-thrown using white stoneware and smoke-fired to achieve a flawless, stone-like matte black finish. The rim is meticulously bound with the natural dried leaves of the Dracaena drago tree, creating a striking textural and color contrast between the smooth, dark ceramic and the warm, jagged botanical fibers. The piece is hand-incised on the bottom with the Adcock signature and includes its original artist tag, which advises keeping the vessel out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the natural leaves. It is in excellent condition, making it a truly exceptional wabi-sabi accent piece perfect for any studio pottery or basketry collection.
