Signed Hodaka Studio Pottery Vase, ’93 – Turquoise & Celadon Stoneware Pottery

Hand-thrown studio pottery vase by renowned ceramic artist Hodaka Hasebe, signed Hodaka and dated 93 on the underside. Created in 1993, this attractive stoneware vase showcases the artists signature turquoise and celadon-green glaze palette, accented by an incised and slip-decorated botanical motif in a contrasting rose-colored clay around the shoulder. The vase features a balanced, elegant form with a gently tapered body and flared rim. The soft matte glaze and subtle speckling create depth and visual texture, while the hand-carved decoration adds an organic, handcrafted character. Measuring approximately 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide, it displays beautifully as either a decorative art object or a functional flower vase. * Artist: Hodaka Hasebe * Date: 1993 (marked 93) * Material: High-fired stoneware * Glaze: Turquoise and celadon green with pink slip decoration * Height: Approx. 8 inches * Width: Approx. 6 inches * Signed: Hodaka and dated 93 * Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs Collectors Note: Early dated works from Hodaka Hasebes first decade as a professional potter are particularly appealing to collectors, representing the formative years of an artist who would become well known for his distinctive glaze development and refined studio pottery forms.
