Orrefors Sommerso Black Glass Vase Attributed to Nils Landberg 1950s Swedish

This elegant mid-century Swedish art glass vase is executed in the classic Sommerso style, attributed to renowned Orrefors designer Nils Landberg. Featuring a striking black inner casing encased in thick, clear crystal, the piece displays Landberg’s signature minimalist Scandinavian form—rectangular, clean-lined, and balanced with a heavy polished base. While the base shows only a partial single-letter mark rather than a full signature, the weight, construction, and design strongly resemble known Landberg Orrefors pieces from the 1950s era. Its deep coloration and sculptural presence make it a standout accent for modern, Scandinavian, or minimalist décor. Condition Good vintage condition No chips or cracks Noticeable shelf wear on the base including scratches and a small surface mark, consistent with age Glass body remains clear and glossy with no structural issues Era 1950s Mid-Century Modern Swedish art glass Dimensions Height: Approx. 9 inches Width (at top): Approx. 2.25 inches Depth (at top): Approx. 2.25 inches Tags Orrefors, Landberg, Swedish, MCM, somerso, vintage, artglass, blackglass, collectible, vase Additional Notes A beautiful example of Scandinavian mid-century craftsmanship.
