It comes with a black mesh case.

I purchased this new around 2012.
I recall buying it online from Yahoo! Shopping.

At the beginning of each season, I would test it by burying it in the snow with my companions before use.
Due to lifestyle changes, I haven't used it since 2018.
Although I haven't been able to test its performance for this listing as I only have one beacon at home, it powered on when I inserted batteries.
(I tested it with new batteries. Batteries will be removed for shipping.)
I always removed the batteries after each use and dried the unit and case.
There is some rust on the surface of the screw threads for the battery cover. The inside of the battery compartment is clean with no signs of leakage. Please check the photos.
