This is an improved model of the Kodama. The part that contacts the reed is made of the same highest quality grenadilla wood, and the part that contacts the mouthpiece is made of genuine leather.
The two rails fully utilize the reed's vibration, and by wrapping the entire ligature with genuine leather, it achieves a more cohesive sound without stress.
While retaining the quick response that is the hallmark of the Kodama model, it further expands the dynamic range and enriches the overtones across all registers, bringing out the player's sound quality.
The screws are pink gold, which adds a touch of brilliance to the tone without being overly shrill, enhancing the resonant quality of the wooden plate. (From HP)

It offers a warm tone characteristic of leather with good sustain, while maintaining excellent responsiveness.
