Description
The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune is a whimsical and heartwarming contemporary fantasy that follows Linus Baker, a rigid, rule-following caseworker at the Department in Charge of Magical Youth (DICOMY). His solitary life is disrupted when Extremely Upper Management assigns him a top-secret task to evaluate the Marsyas Island Orphanage, where six potentially dangerous magical children reside—including a wyvern, a garden gnome, and the six-year-old Antichrist. Under the care of the enigmatic Arthur Parnassus, Linus discovers that these children are not the threats he was led to believe, leading him to question the discriminatory system he serves. The novel is widely celebrated for its themes of found family, acceptance, and the courage it takes to choose compassion over fear. In good condition, Some flaw.
