Nielsen-Kellerman Kestrel 5200 Professional Environmental Meter.
I am selling this fully functional unit, which I replaced, along with two batteries, in its original box.

The 5000 series is a significantly upgraded version of the device distributed by Weather News.
It is suitable for fieldwork and outdoor use, is water-resistant, and floats.
It is lightweight and relatively impact-resistant, but as it is a precision instrument, please handle it with care to avoid drops.
It measures wind speed, temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, air density, evaporation rate, Delta T, and other data not just for general weather observation, but also data related to concrete curing.
Leaving the power on continuously will rapidly deplete the batteries. Alkaline batteries do not last long, and even lithium batteries cannot maintain power for extended periods.
To conserve battery life, please turn off the power frequently when not in use.
Data is automatically recorded on the unit even when the power is off.
Data can be sent to a PC or smartphone via cable and analyzed with a dedicated application.
However, as it does not have Japanese technical certification (技適), it is advisable to avoid sending data via Bluetooth.
By recording and combining data comprehensively, you eliminate the need to carry multiple devices.
There are very few portable observation devices in Japan that combine sensors in this way, so if you have been looking for something like this, please consider it.

I imported it directly from the US, so all instructions are in English.
In Japan, Mistral Inc. in Fukushima Prefecture (with a website) is the general agent, so it is advisable to consult them for equipment calibration, repairs, and purchasing accessories.
The batteries are AA size.
It will operate with alkaline batteries, but they are consumed quickly, so lithium batteries are recommended.

I have used it for 10 years, and it is in perfect working order except for some surface dirt.
The operation method has not changed between old and new models, but older units do not have the mini-game.
While it is fine for general use, calibration of the sensors may be necessary for professional work.
