New with tag traditional Japanese maekake waist apron in deep indigo 100% cotton canvas with red/white woven waist ties. This design features Ebisu, the Japanese god of good fortune, fishing, and prosperity, holding a fish — a classic lucky design often connected with food, seafood, restaurants, and merchant/shop culture. White Japanese lettering adds a vintage market/workwear look. Personally brought back from Japan when I had my sushi restaurant and had a few extras. Authentic Japanese work apron, not a costume piece. Maekake aprons are traditional Japanese waist aprons worn by shopkeepers, chefs, brewers, craftspeople, gardeners, and makers. The thick woven cotton helps protect clothing while cooking, working, crafting, gardening, pottery, BBQ, or carrying items.
