Sawyer Squeeze Water Filter SP2129

Opened, but unused as I haven't had the opportunity to use it. Selling as new.

The filter contains a U-shaped hollow fiber membrane with countless uniform 0.1-micron pores that filter water. This allows for a high-performance, compact, lightweight, and durable filter. 0.1 microns is equivalent to 0.0001mm, which is too small for common bacteria, typically measuring 0.5 to 1 micron.
It is popular for hiking and long-distance trails as it allows you to drink directly from water sources like rivers and lakes. By filtering with this ultra-dense filter, it removes 99.99999% of harmful bacteria, protozoa, and parasites like E. coli, turning contaminated water into drinkable water.

Main uses include:
- Direct connection to standard plastic bottles
- Connection to the included pouch
- Connection to the included straw for direct drinking
- Connection to other hydration systems

Maintenance can be done using the included cleaning syringe (without a needle) after use. By flushing clean water in the reverse direction, impurities are removed, cleaning the filter. Backflushing restores approximately 98% of the filter's functionality, allowing it to purify water as before.
The Micro Squeeze filter can also be backflushed without a syringe by attaching the included cleaning coupling to the mouthpiece and connecting a pouch or bottle.
*If the filter doesn't seem to be functioning properly, we recommend repeating the backflushing process several times.
