Design and FeaturesHandles: Made from Lucite and/or Bakelite-Style (an early thermosetting plastic popular from the 1920s to the 1950s). The set shows the classic Art Deco colors typical of the era: cherry red, forest green, and butterscotch/caramel yellow. Prongs/Blades: Unlike modern corn skewers that use two separate thin needles, these feature a single, flat, dagger-like metal spear styled to mimic a miniature ear of corn. The flat blade design was engineered to firmly pierce the central pith of the corn cob, preventing it from spinning while you eat. Please see pictures for details.
