Granadilla Made - Laoureux Oboe - Semi-Automatic

This is a Laoureux oboe, an American-made instrument that was also imported by Japan Double Reed (JDR).

While other American manufacturers like Selmer (Bundy) and Armstrong also produce oboes, this instrument is made with genuine grenadilla wood.

It features a semi-automatic system and a third octave key.
Compared to instruments like Yamaha or Marigaux, it's positioned as an entry-level model. However, it offers excellent cost performance among instruments from reputable manufacturers, so please consider it.

This item is sold as-is.
There are cracks on the cork pads for keys such as the G key, preventing sound production from the lower joint downwards.
There is damage below the bell.

This instrument is intended for maintenance. Additionally, there are repaired cracks.
The corks for the joints are also due for replacement.

For an additional fee of approximately ¥50,000, we can have the necessary pads and joint corks replaced and adjusted by a specialist, delivering the instrument in perfect playing condition.

The case has been replaced with an Armstrong case, also American-made.
(The case is usable as-is, but has some damage.)
