Vintage Pfaltzgraff Decorated Birds Covered Casserole Rare Gold Trim Dish

A rare find for the china cabinet or the everyday table. This vintage Pfaltzgraff covered casserole comes from their discontinued Decorated Birds pattern, a line you rarely see today. Each side features a different hand illustrated garden bird: Bullfinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, and Kingfisher, each perched among blossoming branches in a soft botanical palette. Fine gold trim traces the rim, lid edge, and handle for a look that feels more heirloom china than everyday stoneware. Measures 9 inches handle to handle, 8 inches across the bowl, and 5.5 inches tall with the lid on. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Bright, unfaded illustrations with no chips or cracks. Light gold wear consistent with age, shown in photos. Perfect for holiday serving, open faced display on a shelf or plate stand, or gifting to the bird lover or vintage collector in your life. A true conversation piece that will not sit around long once the right person finds it. Smoke free home. Every piece has a past. Find yours. — Sarah / The Storied House Co.
