Vintage West Bend Bean Pot Brown Stoneware Crock Metal Lid Bakelite Style Knob

Vintage West Bend brown glazed bean pot or covered crock with metal lid. This mid-century kitchen piece features a rounded brown stoneware crock body with side handles and a fitted metal lid with a dark brown knob. The underside is marked WEST BEND.  Research shows that West Bend produced ceramic bean pots as part of its mid-century kitchenware and small appliance line, with documented examples from the early to mid 1950s. The lid knob may be Bakelite or another heat-resistant plastic, but it has not been tested, so it is described as Bakelite style.  Very good vintage preowned condition (no chips, cracks or repairs). The metal lid has some minor oxidation/patina, and a very small indentation/dent near the edge in one spot. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
