MCM Mid Century Modern Mosaic Platter Orange Brown River Stones Japan 11"

A striking piece of authentic 1960s craftsmanship, this vintage round mosaic trivet was made in Japan and beautifully captures the textured, organic side of Mid-Century Modern design. It features an asymmetrical, hand-set layout of sliced Japanese river stones and natural brown pebbles, punctuated by brilliant pops of atomic tangerine orange enamel shards, speckled sage green stones, and matte black geometric accent tiles. The mosaic is securely grouted in dark charcoal-grey grout and bound by its original gold-toned metal rim. Perfect for adding functional texture to a retro kitchen counter, using as an eye-catching plant charger, or hanging as part of a graphic gallery wall. Very minor scratches noted as shown, consistent with age. Origin: Made in Japan Era: Circa 1960s Measurements: • Diameter: 11.75
