2016 Honda 2-horsepower outboard motor BF2DH

Used approximately once or twice a year and stored indoors.
Last used on November 2025.

The engine has been carefully cleaned after each use, so the interior is relatively clean for its age.

On its last use, the engine started after 2-3 pulls, and once warmed up, it started on the first pull.

After returning home, it was cleaned as usual, and the oil and fuel were emptied before storage.

This year, in preparation for immediate use, I added new oil and fuel and started the engine. However, I accidentally added more engine oil than the specified amount and ran the engine a few times in that condition.

Since then, the starter rope has developed a snag, and while it can be pulled, it occasionally becomes stiff.

The engine itself runs stably at low speeds and idling as usual, but becomes unstable when the RPMs are increased.

I only have knowledge of standard usage and basic maintenance, so I cannot disassemble and inspect it. Therefore, I am offering it to someone who can see its value as a base for repair, understanding the above symptoms.
