Suzanne Hill Studio Pottery Vase Shino Porcelain Signed 12” Concord MA

Wheel-thrown porcelain vase by ceramic artist Suzanne Hill, signed on the base and confirmed by the artist as her work. Created in the mid-2000s, this piece is finished in a Shino glaze and fired in cone 10 reduction.  The form features a narrow neck with a subtle flared rim and a rounded body. The glaze presents warm, earthy tones with natural variation characteristic of reduction-fired Shino, ranging from soft cream to deeper toasted hues with atmospheric effects.  This example represents an earlier period of the artists work, differing from her current production while reflecting her long-standing exploration of ceramic form and surface.  Signed Suzanne Hill on underside.  CONDITION  Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Light surface wear consistent with age.
