Manufactured by master glassmakers in the historic Empoli region of Tuscany, Italy, this highly collectible piece dates from the 1960s to the 1970s. It showcases a classic bulbous form decorated with a beautifully delicate, paper-thin optic spiral twist pattern that gracefully wraps diagonally around the spherical body.  Standing approximately 4 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide, this soft ice sapphire blue vase features an elegant constricted neck that opens into a wide, flared smooth rim. True to its fine Italian heritage, the glass is exceptionally lightweight with a completely fire-polished, smooth base showing minimal shelf friction wear.
