Description
A modern teardrop-shaped Chinese porcelain vase featuring hand-painted peonies and a bird in the Famille Rose style.Originating from Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China, this style of decoration evolved from the 'fencai' techniques of the Qing Dynasty. While inspired by 18th-century imperial wares, this specific form and crisp white glaze are characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century decorative production intended for the export and domestic gift market.
