This limited-edition frame (numbered 1 of only 5) was artisan-crafted using salvaged old-growth redwood vats from the historic Muir & McDonald Tannery in Dallas, Oregon. Originally founded in 1863, the tannery was famous for being the oldest operating facility of its kind west of the Mississippi, utilizing a natural, slow-curing vegetable process. After a historic fire, the local community rallied to rebuild the vats around 1902. This frame preserves that turn-of-the-century heritage. The wood is naturally finished with plant-based stains to highlight its rich, deep brown and reddish grain. Condition: Excellent, unique handmade condition. Features gorgeous natural wood grain variations, giving it an authentic, rustic, and premium feel. Perfect for collectors of Americana, historic preservation enthusiasts, or anyone wanting a unique story behind their home decor.
