A wonderful drama with excellent script, acting, and art direction. I became hooked after watching it overseas.

Mr. Selfridge is a British historical television drama that aired in 2013, depicting Harry Gordon Selfridge and his London department store, Selfridges, in the 1910s. It was produced by ITV Studios and Masterpiece, and broadcast on ITV.

The drama is based on Lindy Woodhead's biography Shopping, Seduction & Mr Selfridge. It tells the story of Harry Gordon Selfridge, who founded Selfridges department store in London in 1908, a time when women were beginning to enjoy more freedom, and his wife Rose and their family. The series began airing in 2013 and concluded with Season 4 in 2016. Each season consists of 10 episodes.
In Japan, it was broadcast on IMAGICA BS starting in 2014. It has also been available on GYAO! since 2015.
