Vandoren AL5 Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece
79.20 $
Description
This is a Vandoren AL5 alto saxophone mouthpiece.
In the past, AL3s were commonly seen, but nowadays, mouthpieces with wider openings such as C.D., S90-200, and C☆☆ seem to be preferred for alto.
This AL5 also has a wider opening compared to the AL3, producing a sound rich in flexibility and fullness even with thin reeds like a 2 1/2.
I used this during university with a blue 2 1/2 and a regere 3.00. It's a mouthpiece that produces a soft sound while still allowing for strong playing.
I feel this particular piece is a good one.
