1951 In Your Garden V Sackville-West Antique Gardening Book Dust Jacket  A lovely early printing of In Your Garden by V. Sackville-West — the first in her beloved series of four gardening anthologies, compiled from her weekly Observer column and drawing on her own famous garden at Sissinghurst Castle. This copy is the second impression, printed in December 1951, the same year as the true first edition. Includes a black-and-white frontispiece and additional photographic plates of English gardens.  Bound in the publisher's cloth boards, presented in the original pictorial dust jacket featuring an elegant Art Nouveau-style floral design by Paul Holmes with cream, green, and rust coloring. The book is in good overall condition: the dust jacket shows some soiling and handling wear to the front panel as pictured, with light rubbing to the spine ends, but remains bright, complete, and unclipped. The binding is sound and interior pages are clean. A wonderful classic of English garden writing for the Sackville-West collector or gardening enthusiast.  Smoke-free home.
