It was produced in 1993 by The Franklin Mint in support of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Key Features • Artwork: The plate features original artwork by renowned wildlife and sporting dog artist James Killen. His signature is visible on the bottom left corner. • Design: It depicts three playful puppies—a Brittany Spaniel mixed pup leaning over a wooden crate, a golden retriever pup sniffing the ground, and a black-and-white puppy pulling at a potted geranium. • Details: The round plate is bordered by a 24-karat gold rim and typically measures 8 inches in diameter. The reverse side contains the official registration information, the ASPCA logo, and a hand-numbered serial assignment unique to the production run.
