This is the top-grade model from Festi, Shimamura Music's original brand.

It is reportedly made in the same Vietnamese factory (OEM) as the popular Taiwanese manufacturer château, giving it a feel similar to the handmade CAS-H70GL model. It features specifications found on high-end saxophones, such as Italian Pisoni pads, needle springs, and genuine mother-of-pearl.

Furthermore, it incorporates a one-piece bell, which requires advanced manufacturing techniques, hand engraving, and a metal thumb rest, offering a comprehensive set of features that will satisfy everyone from beginners to advanced players.

Considering its specifications, a comparable instrument from a well-known manufacturer would cost ¥300,000 or more. However, as a Shimamura Music private brand, this is a cost-effective instrument that offers excellent value.

The pads are Pisoni PRO, commonly used on high-end saxophones, so adjustments and repairs can be made at general wind instrument stores, not just Shimamura Music.

After a play test, it was confirmed that the instrument plays from the lowest to the highest notes. There is one small spot of wear on the outside of the pad for the lowest C note. It currently plays without issue down to the lowest note, but if this is a concern, you may wish to replace only this pad.

This is a beautiful instrument with minimal signs of use. The hand engraving and the two-tone color of the bronze brass body are stunning.
