Strasburg White Smocked Bonnet w/ Ivory Satin Trim RARE FIND Special Occassion

This vintage Strasburg hand-smocked bonnet is a timeless heirloom accessory beautifully crafted in soft white cotton lawn with luxurious satin trim. A satin ruffle frames baby's face and borders a sweet smocked panel of 100% White Cotton Lawn, which has a lattice design embroidery done in Ivory threading. A matching band of Ivory/Cream or White Satin borders the back of the smocked panel. The bonnet has GATHERS IN THE BACK,ADJUSTING to baby's head with a matching satin ribbon that ties into a bow. Classy Elegance at its best! Size small fits approximate age 0-6 Months Size large fits approximate age 6-12 Months  7 top to bottom at the front edge of smocking- measured with bonnet flat on side (see last images) 6.5 top to bottom at the back edge of satin (see images) 5.75 front to back (not including ruffle)  All white available in a size Small- same measurements as Large except front to back is approx 5 (last 3 images)  Note: The difference in sizes is the depth. The back has a simple cased opening with ribbon passed through which can easily be altered if needed smaller.
