Description
This is a stunning vintage purse, completely covered in hand-beading. The black glass seed beads are TINY, and the way they are arranged into patterns creates a beautiful sparkling effect. The barrel-shaped clasp closure has bands of paste stones. MANHILL (1 Rue Castiglione, PARIS) maker's name on the interior. The strap is also fully beaded. Black satin lining. Comes with an original pocket mirror, with a scallop-edge design. The evening bag measures 8.75x6.5. The strap is 12 long in total length. The condition is terrific -- no damage whatsoever to any of the beading on the body of the bag. A tiny touch of fraying at the base where the strap meets the frame, on one side. A couple of touches of age to the frame (I have not tried to remove but it's possible that a proper cleaning & polish will resolve these). A bit of age to the mirror. The lining is in good shape.
