Dazzling, oversized crown brooch by Coro, marked CoroCraft Sterling with the Pegasus logo. This mark points to Coro's WWII-era sterling silver line. Pot metal was restricted for the war effort, so Coro (and other costume jewelry makers) used to sterling as a substitute, making pieces from this line especially interesting. The crown is set entirely in clear rhinestones, with a mix of round stones, baguettes along the base and a marquise-cut stone as the centerpiece. Marked: CoroCraft Sterling (Pegasus logo) Rhinestones: Clear Metal: Sterling silver Size: 2½ wide x 1⅞ tall CONDITION Gently used. One small stone on the upper right is missing.
