Compatible with all models, 60MP CCD, Hasselblad H4D-60 Back

This is a listing for a fully functional Hasselblad H4D-60 digital back only, compatible with all models.

This H-60 series features a 60-megapixel CCD sensor, which is extremely rare, with only a few units likely existing in Japan across all models. It boasts a 645 full-frame aspect ratio, making it a massive sensor digital back.

The 60-megapixel CCD manufactured by Dalsa is characterized by its color reproduction closer to reality and significantly reduced noise compared to the 40 and 50-megapixel Kodak sensors.

However, it retains the characteristic strong contrast and rich color saturation unique to CCDs, offering a one-of-a-kind sensor experience not found in current CMOS technology.

While it has equivalent specifications to the Phase One IQ160 and 260, it can be used with almost all Hasselblad H-mount bodies.

Originally, H-series bodies and backs were restricted to use only with their specific matching models, but this restriction has been internally bypassed.

We have confirmed operation with H4D, H4X, and H5D bodies. (H3D is unconfirmed but likely works. H1, H2, and H6 are unconfirmed. H5X does not work.)

The photos show it booting up in combination with our H5D.

While Phase One IQ series might seem appealing, obtaining an H-X series body is extremely difficult. It's best to use a back that is compatible with your existing H-body.

Compared to Phase One, Hasselblad lenses offer significantly better performance, and the True Focus feature from H4D onwards is also excellent.

Since the Capture One RAW processing software costs over 20,000 yen annually, the ability to use Hasselblad's proprietary free RAW processing software, Phocus, is another advantage of H-backs. Tethering is also possible via FireWire.

In short, 60-megapixel backs are extremely rare. We have only encountered the H4D-60 and H5D-60 a few times besides our own.

On eBay, a listing with a body sold for 2 million yen, which is more expensive than a used H6D-100 with 100 megapixels.

If you have an H-body, love the color reproduction of CCDs, and are not satisfied with the 4433 sensor of the 40-series, how about this?

This unit was sent for an overhaul just before Hasselblad withdrew from Japan, and due to purchasing another back afterwards, its usage is minimal.

The H5D body shown in the photos is not included. A sensor cover is not included, but it will be packed with thick cardboard.
