Only tried a few times after purchase, so I believe the condition is very good with only minor scratches from wiping. I am selling it because the gold plating did not suit me personally.
It was originally ¥57,200 at release, but due to the weak yen and rising precious metal prices, it has now become ¥72,600...
From the Manufacturer's Catalog:
Based on the best-selling Ultra X series, the rim shape and edge have been improved, and a new curve has been designed at the bottom of the cup. Furthermore, by improving the back bore, propulsion has been added to the sound. This has resulted in a mouthpiece with smoother airflow, increased tonal uniformity, and more natural and clear articulation.
From the Manufacturer's Website:
Benefits:
1. A rich full centered sound across the whole range.
2. A greater ease of tone production across all ranges and dynamics
3. An extremely comfortable rim, again a fusion of the SM, Ultra and Ultra XR
4. Beautiful clarity of sound
5. A bigger sound in the high range
6. The easier 'pp' you can imagine!
7. Greater clarity with legato and lip flexibilities
