Antique 1920s Majolica Art Pottery Jardiniere Planter - Brown & Green - 7.25"
Unmarked
This is a beautiful antique art pottery jardinière dating to the 1920s. The piece features a classic high-gloss Majolica-style glaze in rich earth tones of brown and green, accented by deep blue embossed floral or shell-like motifs along the base. The flared rim includes vertical ribbing that transitions into an elegant, bulbous body with Art Nouveau-inspired scrolled relief work. While the piece is unsigned, the visual style and blended glaze are reminiscent of early Zanesville, Burley Winter, or Robinson Ransbottom (RRP Co.) pottery. The underside features a recessed dry foot with three distinct kiln stilt marks, which are standard hallmarks of early 20th-century production. It would make a stunning addition to a collection of period pottery or serve as a functional statement piece for a vintage-inspired interior.
