Vintage Japanese lacquerware photo album w/ red crowned cranes in flight over waves. In gold and white detail against a high gloss black. Cranes are a Japanese symbol of longevity and good fortune. The spine is finished w/ gold metallic tassels secured w/ brass buttons. Interior pages are cream/ivory with plastic sleeved photo pockets. The back cover is solid glossy black lacquer with small Made in Japan label affixed. Originally purchased September 20, 1984 in Baltimore, MD. Original store receipt included. Very good vintage condition. Light surface scratch visible on the lacquer (consistent with age and storage, not prominent).
