Vintage Mid Century Wood Figural Man Barrel‎ Trinket Box Folk Art

Vintage mid-century carved wood figural piece depicting a man in a red coat and top hat leaning over a barrel with hinged lid, dating to approximately the 1950s–1960s. The barrel opens to a small hollow interior suitable for use as a trinket box or novelty storage container. Measures approximately 6 tall and 6 wide and features hand-painted details with a folk art / Black Forest-inspired style. Shows age-appropriate wear including surface scuffs, paint wear, and patina. There has been a prior repair at the head dowel and where the figure connects to the barrel, only noticeable upon close inspection, and the piece remains structurally solid and fully functional. A unique mid-century decorative item with strong character and display appeal.
