Description
Excessive debris in viewfinder prism and shutter speeds inaccurate. Curtains sometime drag on slower speeds. Selling for parts. Vintage Contax D 35mm SLR camera body by Zeiss Ikon, a classic piece of German engineering from the early 1950s. This model features the iconic M42 screw mount, making it compatible with a wide range of legendary vintage lenses. The body shows characteristic wear for its age, including some peeling of the leatherette and pitting on the chrome finish. Notably, the internal prism shows significant desilvering and staining when viewed through the eyepiece, which is common for this era. This camera is a great candidate for a restoration project, a source for parts, or as a handsome shelf display piece for any photography enthusiast. No lens or accessories included.
