This is the International Film Festival Edition Laserdisc (LD) of Katsuhiro Otomo's landmark animated film AKIRA.
This is a special edition where director Otomo himself, unsatisfied with the theatrical release version, redid over 200 cuts and re-recorded the audio. The large jacket (approx. 30cm square), the same size as an LP record, is impressive and perfect for displaying as artwork in your room.
