Wooden Bass Recorder ZEN-ON 5500B
Zen-On Wooden Bass Recorder
- Type: 5500B (Direct Blow)
- Material: Cherry
- Accessories: Case, partially used grease
This model is now out of production.
There is no current model with the same material and system (F / F#), but the B-7M... which is also discontinued... is likely the closest (priced around ¥100,000).
This is a direct-blow type bass recorder.
It has been carefully used for about 6 years, and there are signs of use on the key plating and thumb hole (see photos 6, 7, 11).
There are also some dents (see photo 5).
It has a straight window and takes a lot of air.
It produces a soft, thick sound, and is slightly airy, making it light for its thickness (in terms of blowing feel).
Therefore, it is not recommended for those looking for a bass recorder with a dense or heavy sound.
However, it is highly recommended for those who want a bass recorder that blends softly and broadly into ensembles, or for those who want to play solos with a natural, light sound in a duo with an acoustic guitar. I used it for the latter purpose.
The joint cork was replaced about 3 years ago.
For a bass recorder, it has good response and is nimble, and I really liked it. However, since I purchased the YAMAHA bass recorder I had been longing for, I haven't used it much. I thought it would be better for the instrument if someone else could use it, as I have cherished it, so I have decided to sell it.
I am also looking for a buyer among my fellow musicians, so there is a possibility that I may suddenly withdraw the listing. However, I will temporarily suspend the listing when I enter into negotiations with them, so if it is still listed, you can purchase it immediately without commenting.
Thank you for looking. I look forward to your purchase.
