Devil's Kiss Japanese Dubbed Version [VHS] Ewan McGregor (Starring)

In late 17th-century England, local lord Thomas (Pete Postlethwaite) hires landscape designer Menard (Ewan McGregor) to create a garden in his forest. However, his wife Juliana (Greta Scacchi), whose love for Thomas is beginning to fade, finds herself increasingly drawn to Menard.

This is the directorial debut of renowned cinematographer Philippe Rousselot. Despite its horror-like Japanese title, the film is a romantic suspense thriller depicting a conspiracy lurking behind the garden project. It also incorporates dark fantasy elements, such as the lord and lady's daughter Thea (Carmen Chapman) possessing precognitive abilities. The depiction of the garden is exceptionally well-done, making one feel that the garden itself might be the true protagonist of the film. The casting, including Ewan McGregor, is also superb. (Yasushi Matada)
