The Guitar Is No Longer Heard - Directed by Philippe Garrel - VHS Edition

◆How I Acquired It
I bought this used about 20 years ago, drawn by the words Winner of the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival. It has been stored on a shelf at home.

◆Condition (Please refer to photos)
・The case has some dullness and streaks. Also, a part of the clear film is peeling off.
・The back cover is yellowed.
・The spine is faded.
・There are no signs of management tags on the tape or case, so it is believed to be a retail version.
・As it is a used VHS tape, there were some screen flickers and distortions due to its age, but they were not so severe as to make scenes incomprehensible. I have confirmed that it can be watched all the way to the end credits on my VCR.

◆Content
・For an overview of the work, please check the image of the text on the back of the jacket.
・The film is said to be based on the director's real-life experiences, and it depicts the director's romantic relationships, so it is quite a candid portrayal. I will avoid spoilers, but the ending was one where you might think, Wait, it ends here!?
・It won the Silver Lion award at the 48th Venice International Film Festival in 1991.
・While there are metaphysical (?) discussions about love and death, I feel it's a film that slowly but surely conveys the harshness of real life. (*Personal opinion*)
・This is a personal preference, but I find a certain charm in watching films like this on VHS quality.

◆Notes
・Due to its thickness, it may not fit through the mail slot of a standard home mailbox.
・Tapes are sensitive to magnetism, so please be careful if magnetic flyers from utility companies are placed in your mailbox.

◆Packaging
・It will be wrapped in a plastic bag and shipped in a kraft envelope.
