Vintage 1985 Sesame Street World Globe Rand McNally Muppets Educational Globe US

Scarce Vintage 1985 Sesame Street world globe by Rand McNally featuring classic Muppet characters across a detailed pictorial map.  This globe blends traditional cartography with playful Sesame Street illustrations, placing beloved characters around the world—Big Bird sailing the Pacific, Ernie and Bert floating over the Atlantic, Grover flying above North America, and Betty Lou surfing near Australia. Harry Monster appears off the coast of South America, adding to the interactive, storybook feel of the piece. Produced in the USA in collaboration with Children’s Television Workshop, this is a nostalgic educational item that bridges learning and character design from the 1980s.  A great display piece for collectors of vintage educational materials, globes, or Sesame Street memorabilia. Less commonly found compared to standard Rand McNally globes, especially with intact graphics and structure.  ⸻  Size:  Height (with base): approx. 14 inches Globe diameter: approx. 12 inches  ⸻  Condition:  Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Surface shows light toning and signs of prior use. Some globe gores (paper strips) show slight lifting/raising due to age but remain intact and not actively peeling.
