Description
Authentic Hand-Crafted Mexican Lacquerware Bowl This stunning decorative bowl is a prime example of Mexican folk art, hand-signed by artist Agustina Martinez from the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo region. The piece features incredibly detailed, hand-etched (rayado) designs of a peacock with a full fan tail, songbirds, and intricate floral borders. The bowl is finished with a traditional high-gloss black lacquer rim and interior accents that contrast beautifully with the warm, natural wood tones. Measurements: • Total Diameter: 12 inches • Interior Diameter (Opening): 10.5 inches • Depth: 3.5 inches Condition: • Top/Interior: Excellent vintage condition. The etching is sharp, and the lacquer remains glossy. • Bottom: There is a circular indent/compression mark on the bottom surface (see photos for detail). This does not affect the stability of the bowl or the visibility of the artwork when displayed. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
