I am not exactly certain what the trunk material is, I can tell you it is not wood, or metal.  The exterior has a leather texture but it is not leather either.  It is a hard sturdy material, the trim is a thinner semi- flexible plastic.  The interior of the trunk is a smooth material, that I would guess was applied, but no bubbles, tears, or another other damage is seen to the interior surface.  Truely the only thing to note is the start of oxidation on the metal trim and hinges (corners, and handle hardware is unaffected).  A name is written on the bottom of the case.
