Vintage framed fruit crate label from the 1940s or 1950s for Mischief brand Washington apples.   It was distributed by Nuchief Sales, Inc., a growers co-operative based in Wenatchee, Washington.   12x16 framed and matted in white   NOTE: Bottom of the matte is a little wrinkled; easy to replace or leave; label is fine   Blue, brown, gold, red  These labels were historically used on wooden produce crates before cardboard boxes became standard.         Now considered a collectible item of commercial art, labels are often valued by collectors of Pacific Northwest agricultural history.   These labels are now popular collectibles used for kitchen, den, or office decor
