Antique Symons Copper Oil Can Rocanvilla Saskatchewan‎ Canada Industrial Decor

In need of a cleaning but I thought I'd leave that to someone who knows best how to clean copper. A character-rich Antique Symons copper oil can, produced by Symons Metal Works of Rocanville, Saskatchewan, between the 1930s and 1950s. Crafted from solid copper with a curved spout, lever pump, and wire handle, it captures the spirit of Canada's early mechanical age. The pump is no longer functional, yet this piece remains a compelling industrial décor accent or steampunk display. Oiler is in average rustic vintage/used condition. Aged metal patina throughout and rusted shut. Is strictly decorative. Please see all of the photos. History Behind The Piece Founded in Rocanville, Saskatchewan, Symons Metal Works became a household name across Canada for their hand-pumped oil cans, symbolic of rural industry and craftsmanship. The company's sturdy pressed-metal designs were fixtures in workshops, rail sheds, and farmsteads for decades — a testament to Canada's mechanical ingenuity during the pre- and post-war era. Rocanville still commemorates this legacy with a giant oil can monument, celebrating the brand's enduring heritage. Oil Can Dispenser Dimensions (Approximate): 12x3x6 inches
