The zippers and buckles work well. No weird or musty smells. Its issues are minor: the suede shoulder pad is discolored along the edges (no photo), there is a faded dark stain (ink?) in one of the main compartments (see next-to last photo), and there are several small scuffs and stains across the exterior surface (the last photo shows an example).
