This vintage porcelain plate titled “Engel mit Flöte” (Angel with Flute) is the first release in the annual Christmas plate series by Sister Berta Hummel.The front illustration features a young angel with curly hair, golden wings, and a flowing robe. The angel holds a trumpet and is surrounded by golden stars. The reverse of the plate shares the origin of the artwork: the original painting was a personal Christmas gift from Sister Hummel to her sister, created before she entered the convent.
