Below are the key specifications for this original model: Thread Size: Screws directly into a standard 1/2-inch outdoor pipe fitting or a standard garden hose. Faucet Limitations: Will NOT work on anti-siphon faucets. Design & Materials Material: Built from durable stainless steel and metal alloys to resist rusting and corrosion. Mechanism: Utilizes a mechanical, tongue-triggered lever control. It shuts off automatically as soon as the animal stops licking or nudging the nozzle to prevent water waste. Power Source: Requires no electricity or batteries; it relies entirely on household faucet water pressure. Physical Dimensions Unit Weight: Extremely lightweight at 0.05 to 0.3 pounds (approx. 22.68 grams for the core adapter body). Nozzle Profile: Measures roughly 1.3 inches wide by 5.3 inches long for the standalone adapter piece. Retail blister packaging typically measures around 17 L x 5.25 W. Pet Suitability: Best suited for medium to large dogs, as smaller toy breeds or puppies may occasionally lack the jaw strength needed to nudge the internal spring valve.
