Vintage Brilliant Style Cut Glass Plate, Deep Cut Starburst Crystal Platter

Heavy cut glass round plate with deep geometric hobstar cuts, fan motifs, and a serrated sawtooth edge that catches and reflects light beautifully. Photos and video are part of the description. This vintage cut glass plate has the look and feel of American Brilliant style glass, with dense hand-cut geometric patterns throughout the surface. The center features a large spiral hobstar or pinwheel-style starburst surrounded by deeply cut triangular prism cuts, crosshatching, fan cuts, and smaller rosette medallions around the border. The edge has a repeating serrated or sawtooth rim that gives the piece extra sparkle and texture in light. The glass has a satisfying weight and thickness, and when lightly tapped it produces a clear ringing tone typical of quality cut glass. In motion, the cuts throw subtle rainbow prisms along the sharper edges and deeper cuts. The overall effect is very architectural and layered, with alternating clear polished sections and finely textured cuts that create depth from every angle. It works well as a small serving platter, vanity tray, candle display plate. Size Approximately 7 inches diameter Approximately 0.75 inches tall at highest lip Condition Very good vintage condition overall. No major cracks or repairs noted. One small chip is present on a single sawtooth edge along the rim, but it blends into the pattern and is not obvious in normal display. Light age-related wear to the underside consistent with use and storage. NPK(psh)-
